Network Management Policy

  • PURPOSE The purpose of this policy is to outline the approach to managing the broadband network. This policy ensures fair access to network resources, provides transparency to users, and complies with applicable regulations to maintain the integrity and performance of the network.
    • NETWORK MANAGEMENT PRACTICES
We manage our broadband network with the aim to ensure optimal user experience for our customers. We maintain and manage the stability and performance of our infrastructure.
    • Congestion Management
We employ reasonable network management practices to minimize congestion. At times of high demand, we may prioritize traffic to ensure quality service across the network as well as any traffic essential to network operations. Users may experience reduced speeds if the network is congested, but this will be temporary and not targeted at any specific application or service.
    • Applications Related Practices
In the course of general operations, no specific application is favored over others, and the network does not block, throttle, or prioritize traffic based on the source, destination, or type of content. All lawful content is treated equally, consistent with a free and open internet principle. The exception to this is when such traffic would negatively impact the network in an explicit violation of the User Responsibilities outlined below such as a Distributed Denial of Service attack or a botnet.
    • Device Attachment Rules
Only devices that are compatible with industry standards and meet our security requirements may be connected to the network. Unauthorized devices or those that could compromise network integrity may be restricted.
    • PRIVACY AND SECURITY
We prioritize user privacy and ensure that personally identifiable information (PII) is not shared or disclosed unless required by law. We only collect network information as necessary in order to provide service and to comply with regulatory requirements.
    • PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS
We provide broadband internet with speeds depending on the plan selected by the user. Actual performance may vary due to several factors including network congestion, device limitations, or geographic location.
    • COMMERCIAL TERMS
Pricing information, including fees, and charges are transparently provided to users at the sale point.
    • USER RESPONSIBILITIES
Users are responsible for ensuring their devices meet the necessary technical standards and comply with this policy. Any activities that compromise network performance, including illegal file sharing, will be subject to restrictive actions. Users are also responsible for ensuring that their devices are not originating traffic that is unlawful or disruptive to network operations for others. This includes, but is not limited to, Distributed Denial of Service, botnets, and originating malicious traffic to external sites.
    • CHANGES TO THE POLICY
Any significant changes to this policy will be communicated to users through our website or direct communication. We reserve the right to modify this policy in response to changes in technology, regulatory requirements or business needs.
